Who is Jono Design co?

Jono Design Co is founded by Jono Dugmore, an electronics engineer with a passion for sustainability and design. We offer intuitive, custom solutions for your home and engineering solutions for small to medium projects.

Hi, I’m Jono!

I help you make your home sustainable and automated. I am also available for custom-designed projects requiring 3D printing and laser cutting. Welcome to my website, jonodesign.co!

Here, you’ll find what I can do, projects I have worked on, and a growing shop with 3D and laser-cutting designs and products.

But before we get into all of that, let’s get to know each other a little more. 👉

I am an Electronics Engineer with more than seven years of experience. My expertise lies in designing and building hardware for technology solutions – like smart multi-plugs, mobile UPS units, USB and fast chargers, and backup light units – for personal and commercial use. I have worked on a variety of projects. Have a look at some of my work on the Projects page.

My passion – initially a hobby and now my full-time focus – is working with sustainability solutions incorporating solar power, off-grid water solutions, and smart and automated home living. I enjoy the challenge of creating a complete optimal system that serves the entire family and their unique needs at home. No system will work off the shelf for every home. This is where my creativity, problem-solving, and out-of-the-box thinking skills make all the difference! No one can offer a comprehensive service in isolation. As a result, I have built relationships with an extensive network of local and international partners and suppliers. With this network at my fingertips, along with the experience and ingenuity I bring, you are guaranteed a winning solution!

Another hobby that became part of what I do at Jono Design Co is creating and building custom film AND movie props.

I specialise in creating and programming custom buttons and lights for elevators, futuristic doors, suitcases, and other items which need to be remotely controlled. I work with a good friend who is well-known in the industry. Any orders for this kind of project go through him. Apart from what I do at Jono Design Co, I am also a husband and father of four creative thinkers. We love the outdoors and being active, and you will always find us engrossed in some sort of building or crafting project around the house.
